This morning I woke up feeling MUCH better.

All that water and extra sleep kicked the sickness right out of my system. I was up and at ’em early this morning, and a crazy thing happened! I started writing! At 7am! Now, I am NOT a morning person, so this freaked me out but I was happy because I was behind from not writing yesterday.

I wrote about 700 words and then went off to my second day of our Skills Development Conference. I had a much better day today. Just feeling normal and not having a headache really helped. The day passed quickly and it was 4pm when I was almost home, and I was starving because I didn’t eat much for lunch. Usually I get home around 5 or so, so I felt lucky I had extra time on my hands. I went to the store and bought groceries, cleaned up my apartment, cooked, did dishes, and ate dinner. Then I wrote some more, totaling almost 2000 words for the day.

Also, a miracle happened. I finished my climax scene!!! Yesyesyes! Finally! I am so glad to be over that hump. So I have about 2 1/3 chapters left to write and then I will be DONE.

I seriously don’t think I’m going to get to 50k. I’m not even at 43k yet and I’m wrapping up things rather quickly. But I don’t care. I did this to finish my novel and I am probably going to finish TOMORROW.

That’s insane to me. I can’t tonight because I ran out of steam. And now my body is telling me it’s bedtime because I slept early last night. I’m turning into a grandma.

So I hope everyone’s days go/went well! Leave me comments about how you are doing in life or on your WIPs!

  1. So sorry you’ve been unwell, and for the bad time you had at the conference! But just wanted to say congrats on your awesome comeback! You have done amazingly well this month.

  2. Glad to hear you’re feeling better!

And congrats on all the progress you’ve made on your novel! In my opinion, having a finished novel is better than reaching 50k. 🙂 Good luck getting the last chapters written!
