한국어 일기 4 - 100th Day! A Special Weekly Korean Diary Entry

오늘이 우리 백일 이에요! 나는 미국사람이니까 남자친구와 백일을 축하하는 것은 처음 이에요. 나는 일본에 있어서 남자친구는 한국에 있고 조금 외로워요. 그런데 우리는 매일 매일 스카이프를 하고있어서 행복해요. 얘기 할 수 없는 때 게임 하고 책을 읽고 있어요. 다음 달에 남자친구가 일본에 와서 너무 기대돼요! 오늘 밤에 같이 스카이프로 케이크를 먹을지도 몰라요.

So today is our 100th Day which is a mini anniversary for couples in Korea (kind of like how in America, some couples count by months). I had no idea what it was until I heard about other girls who dated Korean men saying that it was a nice surprise that their boyfriends always remembered what day they started dating and wanted to celebrate 100 (200, 300, etc.) days together. I was surprised as well when I found out that my boyfriend had kept a note of it. I hope to be able to see him next month but for tonight we will eat cake over Skype!
